Spotify’s Music + Talk format allows anyone to create a DJ-like radio show, using every song in its entirety, and delivered as a podcast.
The upside is a sense of intimacy and familiarity with music discovery that only radio DJs can bring.
The downside? Full songs are available only to Spotify Premium members—everyone else hears just 30 seconds of a song.
And — all shows are only available on Spotify; if you prefer to listen on other platforms of apps, you’re out of luck.
Still. It’s a fun experiment what’s possible with radio.
